Wonder what it will take to knock some sense to the Scuderia and win world titles again.

It’s such a shame Nando didn’t win back in 2012. Never has a driver missed out on the championship when they so deserved it.
He pretty much single-handedly dragged a pig of a car (fast, but murderously bad handling) into second place in the championship, and came down to the final race.
I still think that race in Brazil is one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Poaching Adrian Newey would be a good start. Hopefully Ferrari has everything figured out for next year with the new regs. I want a 3 team, 6 driver championship fight between Merc, RB and Ferrari. That would be one hell of a season.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Newey? Ferrari? Look, as a tifoso, I want that to happen too, but that’s unrealistic, and Ferrari will sure as hell shaft him just as they’re shafting their drivers.

O fuck it will never happen. Ferrari have a better chance getting Ross Brawn back, which is also very unlikely.

Was that the season when he couldn’t pass both Renaults in Abu Dhabi for like 30 something laps each?
In like the track with the longest straight at the time?
For me he maybe could have deserved it up until that point...

Hmmm, could have been that yeah. I’m still inclined to blame the car for that...

Agreed, that one totally slipped through their fingers.

I mean you could, but blaming a car for being objectively faster wouldn’t make much sense at all, my point is those points would have given him the championship if he had just passed them, and he should have.
I think Fernando is still one of the better drivers on the grid right now, but I don’t think his career and prestige will last til the Macca is competitive enough to fight for a WC; not to mention Jenson is faster than him on a lot of tracks and Van Doorne is faster than them both and deserving a seat somewhere in F1 very very soon.
